As I left the soldier’s station, I parted ways with the captain, who was assigned to guard the dungeon, with a light laugh.
They held me up in the place for about an hour or so.
Perhaps because we turned the tables on the city troublemakers, they were more confirming the truth instead of interrogating.
It’s so casual that Nia’s friends have properly identified the corpses on the way, and I don’t know if it’s a reward or not but we had a conversation where they even brought out a fruit wine, and we talked for quite a bit that I found out that the soldier was at the same age as me.
We talked about places with good food, good alcohol, and so on.
And so, I went back to the inn alone.
I sent the two home first since there was no need for the three of us to talk to them.
I gave them money so they probably rented another room at the inn to talk.
I went straight back to the inn, got my key, and returned to my room with dinner.
I thought of asking where Euphy and Nia’s room was but decided against it because I feel like I might get reported for asking about the room they took.
Just in case, I was with them when we left this morning, but the person facing me wasn’t the same one from earlier.
Euphy knows which room it is so she’ll come and check soon.
The stew had meat that tastes like lamb, and I soak up the hard bread on it.
Since we chose an upgrade of an inn, the quality of the food had improved too.
We had more salted meat in our previous inns.
I finished eating but I see no sign of Euphy coming this way.
For a moment, I was worried that something may have gone wrong and they haven’t come back, but Euphy has level three swordsmanship, and Nia probably has some detection skills. They should be able to handle any problem in the city, and since there were no signs that anything happened while I was talking with the soldiers in their station, they’re probably just talking too.
I’ve got nothing to do so I soaked myself into the bathtub, enjoying my alone moment.
The baths at this inn are small enough for one person, but soaking in hot water just feels different.
I scrubbed down since it’s been too long and there’s so much grime.
I left the bath and freshened up, but Euphy still hasn’t returned.
I lay on my back on the bed and began to think that if I wait longer, she won’t come, so started thinking that I should ask the innkeeper.
The doorknob clicked and the door slowly opened.
「 Oh, you’re back Euphy…oh, it’s Nia 」
「 Y-Yes. I wanted to talk to Onii-san. Are you listening? 」
I got up from the bed to see who entered the room but I froze to see the figure was different from what I imagined and completely different from the way he’s dressed.
「 Y-Yeah. I’m listening. I’m just a bit surprised… 」
「 Weird… 」
「 No, I think it’s cute. I was just captivated 」
As mentioned, my eyes are glued to Nia as he steps into the room.
After all, Nia’s wearing a dress.
That’s not all.
Did he take a bath? His skin which had been dirty was surprisingly white. The hair that had been short and shaggy, which had been the cause of my belief that Nia was a man had become silky smooth that I almost asked “Did you use a conditioner?”
No matter how you look at it, she’s transformed into a boyish girl with a determined look.

Nia’s half embarrassed from the praise, but also half expectant from how I would react.
I’ve seen this gesture before so many times but now that Nia’s become a girl in my mind, it’s destructive.

Nia was embarrassed because I called her cute, but to break the conversation, she came closer with a serious expression, took a small breath, and speak up.
「 Uhm, I’m sorry about today. Onii-san got in danger because of me 」
「 Oh, that? That was just Nia knowing Paula, and we just happened to be on their radar, right? I don’t think Nia’s at fault. Rather, we got you into this. Look, Euphy aside, I do look weak to others 」
Nia may think it’s her fault, but the reason why she’s targeted was that we both look like beginners in dungeons.

Nia took a breath after I asked and she looked at me with a determined face.

「 Did Euphy tell you something? 」
「 Euphy-nee said that there’s a lot she can’t tell me so I should ask Onii-san instead. But, she told me that if I ask you to have sex with me, then it’ll surely help me, so I should. If Onii-san does it with me, will you train me to become as strong as Euphy-nee? 」
I see. So Euphy was hiding my power to the end.
