Easy Survival Life Chapter 120. Wrath of Heaven

We returned to the hideout and began eating lunch

The meals were divided and we quietly proceed to lunch

It’s a little gloomy.

「 We should be fine, right? 」

Arisa breaks the mood.

「 We should be fine with what? 」 Karin asks.

Arisa says “Isn’t that obvious?”

「 We won’t fail our travel, and we won’t end up like that gang of rapists 」

「 If we succeed, then it won’t be a problem. You never know if it fails. No matter how good the boat is, it’s all over once it capsizes 」

「 Aarh! Geez! Karin’s being pessimistic! What the hell! You’re just saying that we’ll die if we try to travel! That’s not good! 」

「 It’s not really negative 」

Karin stopped speaking and shook her head.

「 Sorry, my bad. I didn’t mean to sour the mood 」

Karin apologized to everyone

We replied “You don’t have to apologize”

In fact, nobody’s angry at Karin.

Even Arisa.

However, they can’t just look at her eyes.

She just said that if we failed, we might die.

「 Did anyone else see those drowned bodies and think that we should stop traveling? 」

I decided to ask their opinion again.

Someone might have a change of mind.

However, everyone’s opinion remained the same.

「 Even if it’s dangerous, I still want to give it a shot 」

Mana’s the first to mention it.

Everyone had the same opinion, agreeing.

Karin concluded by saying “I want to try it too”

「 Then, there’s no need to hesitate. We’re worried, but we’ll go on a voyage eventually. Let’s build the best ship we can and cross the sea without regrets if we fail and end up on the verge of life and death 」

「 「 「 「 Ooooh!! 」 」 」 」

Somehow, we managed to dispel the heavy atmosphere.

But, out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Dododododo! Zaa! Zaa!

Dododododo!! Zaa! Zaa!

「 Hey, hey, seriously? 」

I’m the first one to notice and stand up.

Everyone noticed it right away and looked out with serious faces.

「 It was sunny just now 」

Arisa shouts.

「 We can’t go outside now then 」

The weather’s a storm now

「 It’s as if… 」

I stopped my mutters.

Fortunately, the nose outside was so intense that nobody heard me mutter.

If someone heard me then the mood would turn heavy again.

So, I muttered to myself.

(It is like heaven’s wrath against those who try to leave the island)

One hour after the weather suddenly changed.

The storm didn’t calm down, but rather, intensified.

The sea, as we can see from the hideout, is raging and the waves are exaggerated.

「 Guess we’ll spend the rest of the day in the hideout 」

This reminds me of the “What if?” conversation yesterday.

I thought once again what would I do if there were no caves.

(It’s going to be tough to endure this storm without any caves)

Surviving the wind and rain is the key to staying alive.

It’s doubtful that a simple shelter could withstand this storm.

Even if it could, I would be soaking wet.

This would increase the risk of health threats.

Every time the weather gets rough, I’m thankful for this hideout.

We don’t have to worry about the rainstorm here.

「 Hokage, want to play cards? 」

Arisa called me while I’m staring outside.

「 No, I’ll pass. I just want to make sure of the situation 」

「 Sure thing. Try to relax once in a while 」

「 I know, thanks 」

Our team’s accustomed to rainstorms.

Laundry and other items that had been hung out to dry in the lake have already been carried nearby.

The location of supplies and tools has already been adjusted to prevent them from being blown away by the wind.

All of those were done before I could direct them.

Now that our work is done, everyone’s relaxing.

「 We’ve got enough stockpile of food. We don’t have problems with water either. We’ve already evacuated the laundry and bedding, so I don’t see any problems 」

Everyone’s good, and it’s easy, but at the same time, it feels lacking.

They sure are a reliable bunch.

「 It’s a little chilly, let’s start a fire 」

In the end, all I did was increase the intensity of the fire.

「 We have to check on the cows and chickens when the rain and wind die down. 」

I lay down in a nice spot and think about what to do after the storm stops.

「 Well, let’s see how long this storm lasts 」

–We didn’t take it seriously.

The rainstorm today would just pass away, I thought.

Perhaps it’ll end later tonight, and it should be mild by tomorrow noon…

That was a big mistake.
