Max felt like if he continued, he would be more unlucky for the next few items. Even if he was fully aware that the items coming out were completely randomized, he still didn’t want to take the chance.

“It’s fine. We have got a new consumable, the Healing Potion. That ought to be useful already, right?”

Yu’er nodded at his words. Reading the description of the potion and seeing how much it would cost, they know how good the potion will be for them.

It wasn’t expensive, either. For all it’s usefulness, 1000 Points was a good deal for them as the potion can heal any wound they sustained.

It never said what type of injuries it heals. It only said healing any wound, so that should include any severe wounds.

Of course, they won’t expect it to heal a severed arm or cure poisons in their system.

A couple of minutes of exchanging banters and laughs, they went back to the topic they were talking about.

Max felt a little sad seeing their hard-earned points, disappearing just like that, shaking his head to forget about it, remembering about the good side, it will push him to work harder for more.

Yu’er wasn’t sure about what she said. She just assumed that banks had some Awakends guarding their vaults because if they don’t, they would probably be closed down now.

Max touched Yu’er’s shirt, trying to store it in the Inventory. Right after he thought about it, it disappeared.

I ignore her and just keep staring at the school gate.

I mean, I know about the student exchange program and all, but for Elves to come here this early? I thought it would take at least a few weeks before they show up.   

“Are you alright?” Maya asks, a bit concerned now.   

“Why is there an Elf!?” I ask.   

Maya’s body jumps up a little from my loud question.   

“Don’t scare me like that! Wait… you saw an Elf? We were informed that they had arrived at our school yesterday, but I don’t think any student has seen them yet…” Maya says.   

“You know about the Elves already?” I ask in even greater hock.   

 “Yeah, even Layla know, but as you were sick the whole day yesterday, we decided to not disturb you,” Maya answers.   

“Damn… Anyway, so?”   

“So what?”  

“So, tell me why are Elves here already?” I ask, exasperated.  

“Oh, not only the Elves but people from many other races are here as well. Though for now, only the teachers have come to see through the accommodation facilities. The students will come here in a few days,” Maya answers.   

“Other races as well? But I thought these people would be arriving weeks later?” I ask in confusion.   

“Oh, I forgot you don’t know about that as well…” Maya says while sighing.  

What the fuck?   

“Okay, how many things I don’t know about?” I ask in disbelief.  

“You were sick, okay? We couldn’t disturb when you are getting rest. You know how important you are to m—”  

*Cough*  

“A-A-Anyway, you remember the p-pink lightening which surrounding the WST like a barrier?” Maya quickly asks, trying to ride over what she accidentally slipped out.  

“Yeah, what about it?”  

“Well, the color of the lightning was changed to black the day before yesterday,” Maya tells me.   

A sudden and strong fear grips me.   

“R-Really? I-Is the lightening black now?” I ask stutteringly.   

“No actually, it turned back to pink after an hour or something. But I saw in today’s news that it happened earlier today as well. It turned to black and then pink again after some time,” Maya says.   

“…”  

Fuck…   

I cannot even give any more pathetic reason to convince myself that this phenomenon with WST is unrelated to my broken system anymore…   

“Well, as you said, the Student Exchange Program should have started later this month, but many people are guessing that due to this black lightning phenomenon, the leaders pulled all their resources and powers to do this as fast as possible. I even heard the teachers are transported to the school using magic,” Maya continues.

Shit! I am feeling a bit scared now, to be honest.   

I really don’t want to acknowledge but things might turn out really bad for me if the WST is somehow affected by my system.  

I know I thought that these magicians might help me, but what would they do to me if my system couldn’t be repaired?  

“Anyway, let’s get inside fast or they won’t let us enter!” Maya says urgently while grabbing my arm and pulling me forward.   

Getting inside the school premises, I see no sign of the elf woman from before. She must have entered the building already.   

But still…  

“Why is no one outside?” I ask in confusion.   

There are no students around the entrance of the school building or on the grounds. It is quite unusual as the classes should not have started yet.  

“Oh… well, make the things you don’t know three, will you?” Maya says with a nervous laugh.   

I just glare at her.   

“Okay, okay. I forgot this one. Today is actually our half day. We were informed that the teachers from the other races will be introduced to us and there is also going to be an important announcement today,” Maya tells me.  

“Wait, we won’t have classes?” I ask.   

“Nope. And you can see, no one is here because they are all probably in the auditorium already,” Maya informs me.   

Woah, this is actually good news. I don’t like to study much!   

Though, to be honest, I do like to attend a few classes for a certain reason… Fufufu.   

“You look creepy laughing like that… Anyway, let’s go,” Maya says before moving sideways and dragging me towards the auditorium.  

True to Maya’s words, the auditorium is jam-packed with students right now. This auditorium boosts to be the biggest one in town, being able to accommodate more than a thousand people in it.  

Hmm… No one is on the stage right now?  

It looks like they have not started yet.   

“I am going to my friends. See are you later! N-Not that I want to,” Maya says while turning a bit red before jogging away to the front seats.  

*Sigh*

Now, where are those guys sitting?  

I look around here and there, trying to spot my friends in this sea of people.   

“HEY! JACOB! HERE!”   

“LOOK BEHIND!”  

Suddenly, someone yells my name from behind.   

I look back and see my two friends calling and waving at me from the last row of the auditorium.    

The one standing on the right side is a lanky guy with brown eyes and hairs so short that he is effectively bald. His name is Ryan.   

The one standing beside Ryan is another guy having around the same height as me. He is wearing thick glasses above his murky green eyes. His black hairs are extremely straight and lay flat on his head. His name is Leo.  

They both are my best friends.   

I quickly move to the back row and reach towards them. It looks like they have saved me a seat in the middle of their own.   

“Hey, guy! Everything alright?” I ask while sitting down.   

But before I could even properly settle down, both of them starts speaking to me furiously.   

“What the fuck man? Why didn’t you pick up your phone after the System Ceremony?” Leo asks with a glare.   

“We thought you died of a poison or something,” Ryan says while shaking his head sideways. 

My phone…  

“I-It was having some problems before. I couldn’t find that time to get it fixed,” I lied.   

“Couldn’t find the time? Are your tasks that tough to do?” Ryan asks with his eyebrows raised.

“Y-Yeah, they kind of are…” I say with a nervous laugh.   

Both of my friends give me a look of sympathy.  

“Don’t worry, buddy. I know you will be fine. Well, I got off easy but…”   

Suddenly, Ryan’s voice turns really heavy with emotions as if he will start crying at any moment.   

“… It isn’t a sex-related one.”  

He places his hands on his face and starts to cry in a fake sort of way.  

Ahh~ yeah, we all wanted to have the systems where we can do perverted stuff to gain points. Well, I got one but…  

Damn it! If just my system wasn’t broken and glitched on top of that, I would have bragged so much here.

Suddenly, Leo starts laughing in a funny sort of way.   

“You think my pain is a joke!?” Ryan asks incredulously.  

Oh… he is crying for real.  

Leo looks at both me and the crying figure of Ryan and gives us a smirk. 

“Tsk, tsk, tsk… You both will remain kids forever. Sex is not a big deal, guys. At least not for mature people like me,” he says smugly.  

What the fuck is this ugly bastard trying to say?   

“Fufufu, I think it’s time to reveal it to both of you… I am not a vir—”  

Suddenly, a collective gasp leaks from everyone in the auditorium and drown whatever Leo was going to say.   

I look up towards the stage in a jerk…   

“What the…”

Yu’er went out of the shower, looking fresh, wearing an oversized shirt, showing off her smooth white thighs as she went beside Max.

“So I’m level 9 now, almost max level for my rank huh.”

Yu’er was elated as she looked at her current level that went up again. But it wasn’t just that she was happy about, it was also because they can get stronger quickly while enjoying what they were doing.

In the future, it will be easy for them to get stronger and rank up continuously as they were enjoying themselves, getting stronger from it without even trying.

Of course, that was assuming they won’t be in danger from being attacked by anyone. As Max and Yu’er have considered a lot of things that might happen, they already had an answer to that specific situation.

Magical Space! If they have a space like that, they won’t have to worry about always being in danger anymore.

Their worry about unexpected things that might happen to them will also be removed from their minds.

According to Little Dou, the magical space can be inhabited by living beings at the same time. It can also store objects.

As it was considered a skill, it will only be available for Max to use, but from the Store’s description, buying the Magical Space comes with a hidden gate.

[The hidden gate is like a secret entrance that you can install anywhere for other people’s use. If you want to change the gate’s location, Max can do it anytime he wants!]

 

[And before you ask, yes, the gate will be invisible and only people authorized by Max can go in it!]

 

That’s what Little Dou said after they asked about the hidden gate that came with the Magical Space.

That would mean Max can place it somewhere, so Yu’er doesn’t have to find him to get in. Because as long as she was authorized, she would still be able to get in on her own.

For all these reasons, Magical Space was one of the things that they were prioritizing, and it was more valuable than others might think.

Not only can it be a safe place for them, but Little Dou also mentioned that future upgrades are possible with it. So far, Little Dou said that she wasn’t aware of the end for the upgrades and that the upgrades might be endless.

After all, like the System always emphasize, as long as they have enough points, they can have anything.

Those words made their minds wander about the possible upgrades they can do. As the Magical Space was more like an impenetrable secret base that will be crucial for their survival in this world.

Not caring about anything else, they even thought of a lot of things they want to have in their space.

Building houses, stocking necessities for emergencies, building training grounds, and possible upgrades that would be available at the time they buy the Magical Space.

Yu’er had a lot more ideas, mainly what they should do after they bought the space as she had been thinking about it a few times when she has nothing to do at school.

What came into Yu’er’s mind was to take all the advantages they can get from their enemies or people they didn’t like, whoever they are. A simple thought with multiple implications.

Yu’er might have meant stealing from their enemies to looting whoever annoys them. But it could also mean doing whatever they want, not caring about anyone.

It might not look like it, but they have overwhelming strength when compared to other Awakeneds. And if Max got his training and perfected the techniques Yu’er will teach him; they may not necessarily lose against a Rank 2.

Time Stop, Reverse Time, Sexual Aura, Purple Lightning, Status Checker, Invisibility Potion, Sleeping Serum, Face Mask was only a few of the items available for them to use.

When they have the strength and Magical Space, they can start spreading out their influence. Finding treasures all over the place, finding excellent opportunities, and fortuitous encounters, slowly making the city move in the palm of their hands.

“We have accumulated over 11000 points now, should we save it up for the Magical Space?”

“Okay, that’s a no then.”

After a few minutes of seriously contemplating over it, they decided to delay buying the Magical Space for only a few days.

Even with all those benefits, the points they needed for the Magical Space was 50000, and presently, they only have 11950 Points.

Based on their estimates, they would need more than two weeks to reach that number.

They couldn’t take that risk, saving for two weeks without buying anything from the Store.

Presumably, they were able to buy it after two weeks without needing any other item. It would still be a poor decision as they would need some items in the upcoming days when problems would start appearing.

So if they decided to make it their main priority, it would still be delayed a few times before they can acquire it.

In the end, they chose to buy something that they would need in the coming days.

“Then we’re set. We would buy the inventory first?”

Yu’er gave Max a nod as the Inventory is a unique type of skill. Even in the far future, it would still be useful for them, so whatever happens, it won’t be a waste of points, always having a value for them.

In the next few days, if nothing goes wrong, they would have to run around the city to get some annoying people back.

To make it successful, they would need a lot of items. If they bought the inventory right now, it would undeniably make things convenient for them.

On the contrary, when they decided to save up for the Magical Space, it would hold them back considerably as based on their approximation, they won’t even be close to getting it before the action happens.

Max turned to Little Dou to make sure they weren’t making a terrible decision. Since Max was used to asking Little Dou random questions every day, he didn’t forget to get her opinion about this.

Besides, Little Dou always listens to what they were talking about, occasionally teasing them and giving suggestions, here and there, that sometimes substantially affect their outlook of things, giving them a clearer idea about various subjects.

Little Dou was the only person that completely understands all their plans. Mango doesn’t count as he was mostly doing his own business, living in his own world.

[That’s right! That’s right! You should buy the inventory first! Even if you purchased the Magical Space, you would still need the Inventory in the future!]

Max was starting to see the Inventory in a brighter light. Yu’er was also thinking about the same thing.
